After 3 months in Jamaica, Knots & Vibes are back with some brand new styles and custom options which are revealed in their new ‘Dancehall Queens’ look book.
Born from a love of dancehall music and island lifestyle, K&V launched in the summer of 2016 with a collection of hand-woven crochet clothing and accessories. Fused with elements of Rastafarian culture and style, the emerging brand has already been seen on the likes of Aluna George, Vashtie, Ray Blk and Rainy Milo.
‘Dancehall Queens’ features a gang of Jamaica’s baddest Dancehall dancers including Dancing Rebel, Petite Lia, DHQ Sashi & Mystic. Pictured with some local beauties from the Portland & St. Mary parishes, the series unveils a new ‘Dancehall Denim’ line – jeans, shorts and jackets are embellished with crocheted lyrics from hit songs by Jamaican artists like Konshens, Aidonia & Mr Vegas. Showcased alongside is a range of new crochet crop tops in halter and bralet styles with innovative appliqué and beading details.
Also paying homage to the incarcerated legend Vybz Kartel, jeans are adorned with the popular mantra used by his fans -‘Free World Boss’. Currently offered on a made-to-order basis, custom words can be requested for a truly unique piece.
